Description:

DJWA were appointed to the role of Development Manager and Professional Client on these landmark commercial offices. We were called in to assist a small Japanese Client team representing Daiwa Securities during the design and construction of 88 Wood Street.

The building was a landmark 18 storey, 340,000 sqft Grade A Richard Rogers Partnership designed Headquarters building in the City of London.

The project was completed by two multicultural Joint Ventures (Kajima-Laing for the Shell and Core and Kajima-Hazama for the fit out).

DJWA were involved in the management of all aspects of the project and worked closely with Daiwa Bank representatives. We placed particular emphasis on shell and core project delivery including the complex engineering systems to support the building including Bank trading floors and Daiwa’s high quality Cat B fit out.

88 Wood Street was shortlisted (1of 6 buildings) for the ‘Building 2000’ competition.
